Hi there! Welcome to my Donor Drive.

My name is Hannah Geeser and this is my fourth year dancing for the kids and participating in Dance Marathon at San Diego State University! This program raises funds and awareness for Rady Children's Hospital to help them provide life-saving care to sick and injured kids in need.

My Dance Marathon Journey

My first year dancing

As an incoming freshman, I was eager to find my place on campus. Someone in my sorority suggested that I sign up for this organization and so I did! I attended my first DM in February 2018 and laughed, cried and unexpectedly danced all night for 15 hours. Here is a picture of me at the event.

My second year dancing

I had such an amazing experience at DM 2018 that I decided to take a leap of faith and apply for the Leadership Team. I was honored to be chosen for the position I applied for, Director of Merchandise! My year was full of spreadsheets and merchandise orders but it was also full of amazing memories. Here is a picture of me standing in front of the merchandise store I created at DM 2019, all of the profits from the store ($1,300) went directly to our total that year.

My third year dancing

I enjoyed being the Director of Merchandise so much that I applied to return to the board and was honored to be chosen for a new position on the board, Media Coordinator. I worked with the Media Team all year-long on creating a campaign activation, social media content and finding ways to simplify participant's experience with fundraising! Here's a picture of me right before DM 2020 started.

My fourth year dancing

Looking back at my Dance Marathon experience, I knew it wasn't over for me as I finished up my junior year. I am EXTREMELY honored to be the Executive Director of DM at SDSU for the 2020-2021 academic year. This organization means the world to me and I am so grateful I am helping it to continue growing! 

This year may look different from the past and while we may not know what the future holds, neither do all of the families that walk through Rady Children's Hospital's doors each and every day. We have decided to not set a monetary goal for this year, but instead focus on embracing change. KIDS DESERVE HOPE!
