Hey Family and Friends!

Jagathon is THIS WEEKEND!!!! I am so excited to finish out my final year with this awesome organization with you all supporting me! This year we have a three day virtual event where you can tune into!! I would love for all of you to get the chance to see what Jagathon is all about even though it is virtual! We will be going live on the 23rd at 7pm (EST) to 8pm (EST) to kick off this super fun weekend, then going live at 12pm (EST) and 6pm (EST) on the 24th, and finishing out the weekend streaming live at 1pm (EST) to wrap up the weekend. I'm back for my FOURTH YEAR of Jagathon!! Can you believe that I am Senior soon to be Nurse, I can't! If you have not heard about Jagathon yet, Jagathon: IUPUI’s Dance Marathon is a student-led philanthropic organization focused on uniting the IUPUI campus and community to come together in a year-long movement of support for Riley Hospital for Children. We raise funds for pediatric research at the Herman B Wells Center for Pediatric Research at Riley Hospital for Children. We advocate. We serve. We inspire hope. We are For The Kids!! Cool enough, this is located on IUPUI's campus and I walk by it every day on my way to the nursing building. 

A little bit about my Jagathon journey. Freshman year, I joined the Special Ceremonies committee because I was looking for ways to get more involved on campus. Little did I know how much of an impact this organization would make on me! I was able to fundraise $1,215.82 FOR THE KIDS (FTK) and I donated over 16 inches of my hair! This year Jagathon reached over a half a million dollars, largest total ever!

Sophomore year, I knew I was going to join the committee again, but I wanted to do more! I joined Special Ceremonies again but as a chair where I planned, organized, and executed the Run to Riley. IUPUI is the only dance marathon where our children's hospital is located on our campus, so we are able to run there and back! It is a very uplifting and encouraging time throughout the marathon. It reminds us of why and who we fundraise for! I was able to fundraise $1,100.43 FTK! 

Junior year, I knew I had to do more within the organization and for the kids! I joined the Executive Board as the Director of Committee Relations. In this position, I got to support and encourage a team of committee members. Together, we got to help drive all the other committee's involvement and encourage them throughout the whole year. I worked along side some the most amazing 25 people I have ever met! I was able to fundraise $2,568.02, the most I have ever been able to give to the kids at Riley! 

Senior year, I am so blessed to serve as the Director of Participant Relations. In this position, I will be keeping in contact with all of Jagathon's register participants. I will be encouraging them to attend events, stay involved, and fundraise throughout the year. I also get to work with my own committee again and with 25 inspiring fellow exec members. This year my goal is to fundraise $4,884.27!! This would double my total fundraising I have ever given to Riley Hospital for Children! I know I can complete this goal with your help!!
