USC Dance Marathon 2023

Hey Miracle Makers!

Welcome to the Dance Marathon Hospital Relations team fundraising page! The Hospital Relations team is the liaison between Prisma Health Children's Hospital and USC. We maintain communication with the child life specialists to keep them involved in our events throughout the school year and plan events at the hospital to cheer up the kids receiving treatment! We get to plan craft days, holiday decorations, and tours for students at the hospital, and we cherish every moment of it! It is our job to help USC Dance Marathon feel connected to the hospital and remember WHO they're fundraising for.

All of the funds we are raising go right back to the Child Life Program at Prisma Health - to all of the resources that the child life specialists need to make the kids and their families as comfortable as possible during their time at the hospital. To help the kids still feel like kids. Together we can change kids' health and change the future - but we need your help!

Your donation is tax-deductible and will make miracles happen for families who desperately need them. You can click the "donate" button at the top of this page to make a safe and easy online donation.

MEET THE TEAM!

Director: Karly Pikel (far right)

"I love being able to touch the lives of the Child Life Specialists and the kids and families at Prisma Health Children's Hospital. Being able to serve them, help to keep the Child Life Program as strong as it is, and brighten the lives of the kids is such a privilege and special thing to be a part of! I am so lucky to lead the amazing USCDM Hospital Relations team and work with the Child Life Specialists directly."

“I love being part of such an amazing organization alongside some of the most dedicated people I know. I’ve become more and more passionate each year as I get to see all the amazing miracles we are able to help make. Previously interning at Prisma Health has made me that much more excited to see the change this year and learn more about the Hospital!”

"DM is so important to me because I want to be a pediatric nurse and I want to help make a difference in these kids hospital experiences. By working with the hospital and the child life specialists, I get the opportunity to directly see the impact our organization has and help with our cause connection. I have two people very close to me that have had to battle childhood cancer, so for me DM is my way of helping them and all the other kids that have to spend endless time in the hospital."

Staff Member: Kenzie Tallant

"I love dance marathon because of all the opportunities that it provides for the miracle children and their families!!"

Staff Member: Liza Semona

Thank you for supporting our efforts! Together, we're changing kids' health and changing the future.
