This March, we will stand on our feet for 12 hours as part of Terp Thon, the Miracle Network Dance Marathon at the University of Maryland to benefit Children’s National Health System!
Miracle Network Dance Marathons are a growing trend across colleges nationwide to raise funds and awareness for their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Because of our efforts, the US News & World Report once again named Children’s National to the Honor Roll of the best children’s hospitals in the country! Because of our efforts, we can ensure kids like Luca can have healthy & happy childhoods.
Luca was born with urea cycle disorder, a rare genetic disorder that inhibits the liver from processing proteins. Her condition was so severe that at 4 months old Luca was in need of a liver transplant. Thankfully, her father was tested
as a match and donated some of his liver to her. After a successful surgery and months of hospital visits, Luca is now at home, smiling and getting to play with her dog Tessa!
Donating online is safe and easy! You can donate to our team, or pick one of the participants from our roster and click the "Support This Participant" button on their page.
