From the day I walked into Boston Children's Hospital for a simple procedure, I knew I wanted to have a life long impact on this incredible organization. You walk into the hospital and you can instantly feel the support and amazing work being done. Some people walk into hospitals not smiling, but I cannot help myself from smiling cheek to cheek. I knew it would be a while until I would have the opportunity to apply for a position at Boston Children's, so I knew I needed to find another way to get involved. That is how I came upon Dance Marathon. A nationwide movement, fundraising for miracle network hospitals all across the country. One generation fighting for the next.
After my first year participating in Emmanuel College Dance Marathon, I knew I wanted to play a bigger role in the event the next year. That is how I got to where I am, with passion and courage I applied for one of the Event Coordinator position. The night I found out I was selected to join the Special- Events Committee, I was filled with so much emotion--with a big smile as tears streamed down my face. I feel so blessed and privileged to have this opportunity to lead events that will make sick kids healthier and happier.
I really hope you will consider donating to help my little neighbors live the lives they deserve and help me reach my commitment of raising $1,000. All contributions will benefit my local Children's Miracle Network Hospital, Boston Children’s Hospital. Any contribution will help, and all donations are tax deductible.
