I joined Dance Marathon during my freshman year at UMass Dartmouth and I am currently in my second year serving as President and Co-Director. UMass Dartmouth's chapter of Miracle Network Dance Marathon benefits Boston Children's Hospital, a hospital very close to my heart. My cousin Jesse battled Stage IV Neuroblastoma for nearly 5 years, and he was treated at Boston Children's. As I became more involved with Dance Marathon, I fell in love with BCH and felt the need to help each and every child being treated there.
Currently, I am attending UMass Dartmouth, graduating in the spring of 2019 with my bachelors degree in Sociology and Anthropology. Following graduation, I plan to attend Simmons College in Boston to pursue my masters degree in Social Work. My dream is to have a career as a pediatric palliative care social worker at Boston Children's. Being involved with Miracle Network Dance mMarathon allows me the opportunity to give back to the kids while pursuing my education. I am honored and privileged to be one of the co-directors of this AMAZING organization.
By participating in Miracle Network Dance Marathon, students pledge to raise funds and awareness for patient families at local children’s hospitals and the year culminates with an 8-40 hour event (the Dance Marathon), where we’ll get to meet patient families, participate in games and dancing, enjoy entertainment, and reveal the fundraising total from the entire year! It's my sincere hope that you'll find it in your heart to support my efforts with a monthly pledge or one-time gift that will go directly to my hospital.
Your donation is tax-deductible and will make miracles happen for families who desperately need them. You can click the "Donate" button at the top of this page to make a safe and easy online donation.
I need your help to reach my goal For The Kids. Thank you so much for supporting my efforts!
