Dear Friends/Family/Everyone,

Hello and thank you for taking the time to find out why Dance Marathon is important to me, and how you can help make a difference.

The money raised is donated to the Children’s Miracle Network for the local children hospitals. This is such an amazing fundraiser that helps more families than you realize.

Here is my story:

As some of you may know the children’s hospitals in Illinois and Missouri were our home away from home for many years. My older brother and sister were born with Cystic Fibrosis and both of them spent a lot of time at these hospitals, along with my parents and me.

The children’s hospitals provided more than just medical care for my siblings, they provided us with love and basic essentials while we were away from home. I know what you are thinking really, what could you get from a hospital? Well let me share with you some of the things they did for us. These wonderful hospitals and their wonderful donors always provided us with a place to sleep, shower, laundry services, food vouchers for meals, gas cards for trips, phone cards, activities to help take your mind off of the long stays, and many other wonderful things.

I would love going to the playrooms and participating in crafts with my siblings, or sitting in our room playing bingo. These little things may not mean much too many but they were special moments for us. Children’s hospitals helped us keep our family together in our times of needs, and none of those things would be possible without the wonderful donations from people like you.

Please help the children’s hospitals continue to provide services for families and children in their times of need. Make your tax deductible donation today.

Thank you for reading my story.

"No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted."
