Hello Friends!

Description: Macintosh HD:Users:levinescholar:Desktop:IMG_2504.jpgFor families, childhood illnesses are devastating. Oftentimes, families are affected emotionally, physically, and financially. That’s where Charlotte Dance Marathon comes in. Charlotte Dance Marathon is part of a national movement on over 300 colleges and universities across the US, where university students join together to raise financial support and awareness for their local Children's Miracle Network hospital, in our case, Levine Children's Hospital. One hundred percent of the funds raised by Charlotte Dance Marathon go directly back to Levine Children's Hospital (LCH) where they are used to purchase vital, care-enhancing equipment for the hospital, such as NICU beds and specialized physical therapy equipment, that caregivers request, yet the hospital's normal operating budget is unable to fund.

The funds we raise are critical to enhancing the quality of care for all children in the Charlotte region. Together we work to ensure that families can be confident that their child, and for that matter every child in our community, will have the best care possible when they anxiously walk through the doors of Levine Children's Hospital. We aim to help make miracles happen and work year-round to see the children we visit at LCH, healthy, smiling, and dancing with us at our 12-hour culminating dance marathon, this year on March 24th

Text Box: Picture 1: Me, along with several committee chairs, after visiting Levine Children's Hospital in the springAfter spending my freshman and sophomore years as a Family Relations Committee Member, and last year as Catering Chair, this year I am serving as Development Director, overseeing six chairs and their committees responsible for all financial, fundraising, and sponsorship activities of the organization. I have chosen to devote so much of my time and energy to this organization because I wholeheartedly believe in its mission.I have had the pleasure of getting to know the miracle families whose lives have been impacted by Levine Children’s Hospital and I can confidently say that each donation truly does make a difference in the lives of children in our community.

I sincerely hope you will join together with me, fighting For The Kids, by making a donation. Donations are tax- deductible and 100% of donations go directly back to Levine Children’s Hospital.

For The Kids,

Megan Woody
