Thank you so much for your support of Johns Hopkins Children’s Center’s inaugural Dance Marathon, Baltimore Boogie.
As the first Dance Marathon held in a hospital, Baltimore Boogie was already unique. This event kept dancers distracted throughout their six-hour commitment to stand in honor of our patients and families upstairs. Dancers were fed throughout the event by Dunkin’ Donuts, One Star Country Club, and Mama Mia’s Pizza. They also interacted with numerous patient families who came down to enjoy fun, hospital-themed activities such as red wagon races, life-sized Hungry Hungry Hippos, and Hospital Bingo with Peyton.
Even more, with 97 registered dancers, we raised over $18,395 and that number is still climbing! We are grateful to contribute to patient- and family-centered programs that help patients like members of our Teen and Children’s Council.
