Terp Thon 2017

Support Us

This March, we will stand on our feet for 12 hours as part of Terp Thon, the Miracle Network Dance Marathon at the University of Maryland to benefit Children’s National Health System!

Miracle Network Dance Marathons are a growing trend across colleges nationwide to raise funds and awareness for their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Because of our efforts, the US News & World Report once again named Children’s National to the Honor Roll of the best children’s hospitals in the country! Because of our efforts, we can ensure kids like Tara can have healthy & happy childhoods.

In February 2013, when Tara was just 7 years old, doctors found three tumors in her brain. After evaluation, Tara was diagnosed with Grade 2 Astrocytoma, a form of brain cancer. Unfortunately, Tara’s tumors were determined to be inoperable. For the next 70 weeks, Tara bravely fought through chemotherapy treatment. In January 2015, doctors found that Tara’s tumors had grown more. Currently, Tara is undergoing another 6 to 12 months of chemotherapy. Despite these challenges, Tara remains in high spirits and continues to inspire us each and every day!
